The Degree Confluence Project is a global volunteer initiative to visit and document every integer latitude and longitude intersection on Earth.
The Degree Confluence Project is an all-volunteer effort that encourages people to visit the intersections of integer degrees of latitude and longitude, known as confluence points, and document their visits with photographs and narratives posted online. The project was started in 1996 by Alex Jarrett, a programmer from Northampton, Massachusetts, USA, after he purchased a GPS device and began photographing confluence points.
