Hier auch ein schöner Newsletter.
Muss man sich einschreiben.
Weltweite Vulkan News.

Funkenfest.

Let's visit volcanoes again! (VolcanoDiscovery Newsletter Nr 33, May 2021)

Dear friends and guests,

Summer is coming and travel restrictions are finally being lifted in many parts of the world. We all have been waiting for this time!
While we had spent most of the past months at home, we continued to monitor volcanic activity around the world via webcams, social media and volcano observatories. But now we can realistically planning to actually go see some! Would you like to join us?

Greece, Iceland, Italy, the Canary Islands and Kamchatka are waiting for you!

One of the most remarkable and utterly photogenic eruptions is in progress in southern Iceland. It isn't only maybe the most fascinating natural show on earth, but this time, it's also quite easily accessible, as Iceland is welcoming visitors with little hassle, at least for most of us!
This is your chance to see plenty of active hot lava up close! We have one or two spots left on our next tour from 24 Jun - 8 Jul 2021 - have a look and get in touch!
Chris who will guide our expedition is already there and enjoying a great show: See his most recent pictures from the eruption!

If you're in the mood for a last-minute trip,- Greece just opened its tourist season and we have free spots on our walking tour on Santorini island from 22-29 May. The most beautiful time to visit is now, with spring colors and - compared to previous years - almost no people!

The Canary Islands are a small universe and little volcanic paradise on their own. Get to know the 4 most volcanically interesting islands with geologist Dr. Evelyne Pradal on our next tour to Lanzarote, La Palma, El Hierro, and Tenerife from 26 Jun - 9 Jul 2021!

Another great volcano destination of all times is certainly Kamchatka in Russia's Far East. Russia is open for many nationals and has little to no travel restrictions. We offer our volcano expedition to Kamchatka from 29 Aug - 16 Sep 2021 and need only 3 more people to sign up and guarantee the trip.

If you are curious to get to know the most iconic and very active volcanoes of Europe, come to Italy! Our classic study tour to Stromboli, Vulcano and Etna will again take place from 2-10 Oct, and the 15-day tour to Italy's volcanoes including Vesuvius and Campi Flegrei is scheduled from 8-22 Oct 2021. Both trips are accompanied by a volcanologist from our team, who provides you with first-hand experience and knowledge about Europe's most active volcanoes deeply rooted in ancient and modern history.

Curious to learn more about our tours?
Just visit our website, meet us and other guests on our facebook group or email us (reply to this message) with any questions you might have. We look forward to hear from you and perhaps meet you soon on one of our tours.

With our very best wishes for the summer 2021!

Tom Pfeiffer & the VolcanoDiscovery team
